An honest actor!

Last night i watched a programme on NDTV called "India questions Aamir".
A major fan of his i eagerly awaited this programme. The one hour programme was really good!

I was somebody who admired Aamir from his QSQT days and remained one of his most loyal fans as he seemed to do no mistake. Any role he took up he made sure that he gave it his best!

Post Lagaan though, I was disappointed with the way his personal life changed. For someone who never had press on his side his life took major turns. I'm still a tad disappointed that he has left his wife who was the only one willing to elope & get married to him when he wanted to! But then its his life!

Yesterday however, when he spoke he was so honest about every issue put forth to him.I realised he hasn't changed from the Aamir I adored! Essentially he is still the same. Honest & frank.

When he believes in something he makes sure it is from the bottom of his heart.

"Rang de Basanthi" is definitely a film he spoke about as a movie meant for the youth. He sure plans his interviews and media presence in time for his next release.

"Dil Chahata Hai" & "Sarfarosh" are my all time favourite Aamir films. The other day I saw DCH for the .......( I've actually lost count of the number of times I've seen it!) I realised what a brilliant film it is. Every dialogue is perfect & so are the situations. He sure picks his scripts after reading them fully. His choices haven't let him down in the recent past even though he does only a film per year.

What is written about him sans his interview may be fictitious. What is made out of his interviews are individual opinions. Immaterial of all one thing is sure he is definitely honest & believes journalism needs to maintain a particular standard.

Giving journalists the benefit of doubt, I realise one thing for sure:

AAMIR KHAN IS AN HONEST ACTOR ONSREEN OR OFFSCREEN.

Wow! Lucky you to have watched Aamir's Interview(they are so rare!). I remember my younger days when I used to watch Cine programmes in DD2 hoping to see some news about him!!
I sometimes feel why is this guy working so much when all others are earning double the fame without lifting a finger!!
His split from Reena was a big shock. And btw Uma, it is with 'Kiran Rao' to whom he is rumoured to be tying the knot!

Honest Actor :-)
Yeh..guess I will go with that...

Not that we have a right to intrude into his personal life...the fact that (or maybe I cud be wrong here) both the parties settled it amicably between themselves..shd be enuff of a cue for the public to stop talking abt it..dont u think :-)

there's something unique about aamir in most of his movies, especially movies in which he has made a mark.

the stare in the "tanhaai song" in DCH.

the genuine look in the "papa kehte hain" song.

the crudeness of a tapori in his eyes in the character in "rangeela"

in another "day with aamir" program on MTV, i recollect him saying -- how people scoffed at this "chota ladka" on screen when "QSQT" was first released in Mumbai theatres and Aamir went sticking posteers and asking people to watch his film.

As he emotes in the "Toyota Innova" ad - he sure has come a long way....
